Rec Sports offers several different spaces for a variety of recreational activities. Check out all that we have to offer!
General Information
The Department of Rec Sports is located at the 100,000+ square foot Bourgeois Hall and can be accessed by UL Lafayette students, faculty, staff, and qualifying affiliate members (visit the Memberships & Access page for more information).
Additional serivces we offer include shower and sweat towels, locker rentals, and equipment check-out for court activities.

Student Fitness Center
Our 20,000 square foot fitness center has all the equipment you could need to get in a great workout no matter your experience or goals!
The 2-story Rock Wall is a great chance to proactice climbing skills or learn new ones! Climbers can boulder at any time or visit at open climb times to gear up for belay climbing and learn from the knowledgable staff at the wall.
Courts, Track, and Studios
Bourgeois Hall has 4 basketball courts that can be used for basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer, badminton, and more. We have a schedule of activities on the Open Recreation Court Programming page.
The 8 racquetball courts are ready for play and Ping-Pong tables can also be set up in these spaces.
The four-lane track is 1/8 of a mile elevated above the basketball courts, and has cardio equipment and floor mats for additional core work and stretching.
Additional spaces include the Training Studio, the Dance Studio, the Multipurpose Judo room, and the Weightroom equipment.
Outdoor Facilities
Outside the walls of Bourgeois, Rec Sports has plenty of outdoor spaces for recreation!
The Student Aquatics Center is home to an 8-lane, heated lap pool and a zero entry leisure pool with a current channel.
The Intramural Sports Complex has multiple lighted field currently being renovated to turf.
Bourgeois Park has a walking path around the perimeter, an outdoor basketball court, and plenty of room for other activities and events.
The outdoor tennis courts are available during operating hours and lights are available for the courts.
